Sport Australia Hall of Fame

Show Project Description

Inspiring the next generation of a sports-passionate country.

The Sport Australia Hall of Fame has grown into a unique entity, representing all the Legends of Australian sport. In December 1985, 120 inaugural members were inducted into the Hall of Fame, including Sir Donald Bradman and Dawn Fraser. As of July 2016, 541 Australians have been inducted into the Hall as members.

With the Prime Minister as the Patron in Chief, the Hall of Fame membership comprises an illustrious group of Australia’s most respected and celebrated champions.

With over 500 recognised members’ records online, the SAHOF website plays a vital role in educating and communicating to its extensive and diverse range of audiences. A clumsy administration system needed to be bought into the new era and assist with providing up-to-date presentation of information.

In support of a recent brand identity relaunch, WhiteRhino designed and developed a comprehensive new CMS system. A full Flash-based RhinoCMS system was implemented, allowing for maximum content control by SAHOF. With the added bonus of drawing upon vast archives of breath-taking sports imagery steeped in history and folklore, the charismatic and emotive site aimed to inspire the next generation to follow in the footsteps of our current Hall of Fame inductees.

Subsequently, the National Sports Museum at the MCG replicated WhiteRhino’s total design architecture to re-engineer their promotional strategy.

‘WhiteRhino’s inspired design and development of the SAHOF website is a great and celebrated achievement’ – John Bertrand, Chairman.
